We recognize that family law and legal disputes are highly personal and emotionally complex. With many years of experience and an excellent track record, we approach each case with compassion, professionalism, and integrity.
Nicky has practiced family law throughout her career, with a focus negotiation and mediation to help you solve your legal family law problem with the least amount of legal intervention. Nicky is capable of solving complex business issues relating to property division and spousal support claims. Even the most contentious and complex cases can be resolved through negotiation and/or mediation, but if the need arises, you will be represented by a lawyer with extensive courtroom experience, including the Supreme Court of British Columbia and the BC Court of Appeal.
Nicky has been a trained mediator since 1994.
Beatrice received her LLB from the University of London (University College London) in 1993 and has been practicing as a litigator in British Columbia since 1998. Beatrice has significant litigation experience, which includes appearing in the Provincial Court of BC and the Supreme Court of BC. Beatrice has also appeared in the BC Court of Appeal and the Supreme Court of Canada.
Although an experienced litigator, Beatrice tries to resolve all legal cases through mediation and negotiation before pursuing court proceedings.
Katie has experience with all types of alternative dispute resolution available to family clients, and has experience at the BC Provincial Court, the BC Supreme Court, and the BC Court of Appeal. Katie solves complex cases, including division of assets involving corporations, trusts, pensions, and spousal support. Katie received her Juris Doctor from the University of Victoria in 2023. She was the recipient of the Law Foundation of BC Public Interest Award for demonstrated commitment to public interest and high academic achievement and the Diana M. Priestly Award for outstanding service to the Faculty of Law.
Charles received his Juris Doctor from the University of Victoria in 2024, and anticipates being called to the Bar in September 2025. Prior to law school, he received his Bachelor of Arts degree in psychology and philosophy from McGill University. Charles chose to work in family law to help clients navigate a complex legal system during a challenging time in their lives.
This includes divorce, division of property including corporate or trust assets, spousal support, Separation Agreements, Marriage Agreements and Cohabitation Agreements.
We also offer alternative dispute resolution such as mediation, lawyer-assisted mediation and four way meetings. We believe Court should be the avenue of last resort, but if you have to go there, you want to know that you will be well-represented.
